Happy Valentine's Day!

Love is in the air! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

While those of you with sweethearts are helping to make today the second largest card-sending holiday (1 billion cards sent, but it still doesn’t beat out Christmas for the honor) or the biggest day for fresh flower purchases, here are some old traditions and fun facts about Valentine’s Day:
  •         Almost half of marriage proposals will happen today (aww)
  •       Half of all women say they would end their relationship if they didn’t get something on Valentine’s Day (yikes!)
  •        Those of you with no significant other, do not despair. In the Middle Ages there was a belief that the first unmarried person you met on the morning of St. Valentine’s Day would become your spouse. (A good reason to freshen up before leaving the house today.)
  •        Teachers receive the most Valentine’s cards, followed by children, mothers, and wives. (Interesting to know where wives are valued in the mix!)
  •        And most importantly, those little candy “conversation” hearts have a shelf life of five years. (Good to know. Who among us is not guilty of buying them, not eating them, and then stashing them away somewhere?)

Enjoy your day, have a fun date night, and let us know if anyone finds out that they have a secret admirer. We love a good mystery!

For those of you who get engaged today, congratulations! And give us a call next week. We would love to help you out with some engagement photos. ๐Ÿ˜‰
