On the evening of Sunday, August 5th, 2018, KLJ Studios took on-location portraits for an very fun engagement photography session at Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington. Meet our fun-loving couple Megan and Trevor: Trevor, the soon-to-be groom, is a Computer Science Major, and Megan, our soon-to-be bride, works with toddlers. We met this amazing couple at a wedding we photographed in Seattle where they both helped us photograph the bride and groom; Trevor hung off a dock to help us ensure the bride and groom's boat did not float away! Megan and Trevor will tie the knot in just two weeks, and we are so glad we got to take their engagement portraits before the wedding. The KLJ Photographers for the session were KLJ Studios Lead Portrait Photographer, Kelly Lynn Jordan, and KLJ Studios Lead Lifestyle Photographer, Bethany Petrik.

This was a very fun session at Gas Works Park as there was so much going on! There was a group of people at the top of a hill that were making very large bubbles from a handmade bubble wand (We made sure to get a few shots to honor Megan). There was a very interesting remote control pink flamingo named Vincent De Flamingo. We found a DJ there that you could use your headphones to connect with, and so there was this big group of people were dancing around together, but we couldn't hear anything, which made you wonder what music was playing. We all appreciated Trevor and Megan's friend running to the car to grab the necessary items for the session so we could get all the pictures in time. We also loved their friend's beautiful hand-painted silhouette wedding invitations.

It turns out that Megan and Trevor not only balance each other out really well, but they are also really good at balancing. They both paddle-boarded and slack-lined together which was very cute. These two both love the outdoors and camping, and we are very excited about their decision to do their entire wedding ceremony barefoot as our lead photographer Kelly Lynn always photographs "sans" shoes whenever possible.
