I relocated my photography business back to Woodland full time in 2016 and I have met the best people since then. So many of you allowed me to be a small part of your lives by graciously providing me the opportunity to photograph you and your families. We have taken thousands of photos, in the studio and on location, printed out hundreds of beautiful shots, and celebrated birthdays, weddings, and holidays.
Because of all of you, I have also been able to fulfill one
of my dreams-giving back to the community where I grew up and am now raising my
child. Last year, with your help, I was able to:
·
Once again, provide free senior portraits to a
graduating senior who would otherwise not be able to have them;
·
Donate my time to the CASA program so they would
have photographic images of their fundraising gala;
·
Participate in the Gibson House fundraiser;
·
Take professional photos of feral kittens to
help find them good homes. (They were adopted in one week!)
It thrills me to combine my love of photography with my
desire to do good things. And it has allowed me to reconnect with Woodland and
Davis and meet so many of the great people who live and work here. I am hoping
that next year will be even better and, with your help, I will be able to:
·
Work with the Foster and Kinship Care Education
Program at WCC to raise money for their program; (Already in the works with our
Enchanted Fairytale event!)
·
Create an event that benefits stray/feral
animals;
·
Participate in school fundraisers;
·
Create a fundraising event for the Yolo Crisis
Nursery;
·
Continue to help CASA with their events;
·
Not only provide another graduating senior with
free portraits, but also encourage other photographers to do the same;
·
Return to my work with Now I Lay Me Down to
Sleep.
It has been a pleasure and a joy to work with all of you.
One of my dreams came true this year, having a photography studio on Main
Street. I hope all of you have a great year and consider Kelly Lynn Jordan
Photography for your photographic needs.
