One of my favorite things about moving back to my hometown after almost a decade is meeting up with old childhood friends and their children. This is one of the best things of growing up in a smaller community, getting to know everyone and their families. Now that we have all grown up, it is an honor to be able to capture their memories with their children. Meet Shalyce, her up-for-anything husband, Kyle, and the adorably handsome, Killian. We met at Fern Park to capture some family portraits of this fun group. Killian was a huge fan of the swings and slides. And Kyle was a trooper helping Killian down all of the slides even with having trouble keeping his long legs out of the way! Guys, it was so great catching up. Good luck and many blessings on your future endeavors.
On Friday, April 15th I found myself in Roseville, California to meet with Kelsey, her husband and their three beautiful children. One of our new family portrait offers allows for two locations and an outfit change in one great package. This portrait session was so much fun! The girls enjoyed being in front of the camera, but the little guy was a bit shy until we made it outside for the second set of portraits. Once outside his personality was able to shine because he loved being free to run around. We are also excited to announce that Ms. Kelsey will be creating the beautiful cakes for our cake smash shoots. Yep, the cake is included in your Cake Smash package!

What a great Open House at the historic Oakdale Ranch on March 19, 2016. It was an excellent opportunity to see the amenities, meet the owners (Brent and Kim), and also meet other wedding vendors who frequently serve weddings booked at the Ranch. This venue is about a 20 minute drive out of Woodland, CA.
The Ranch has a nice pond so you can hold your ceremony pond side if you wish. There is also a concrete patio area for dancing under the stars, a graveled area if you wish to set up your dining or other activities there, and plenty of onsite parking. You can choose your ceremony site, dining site, and dancing area to suit your needs. Some ceremonies have even been held in the nearby walnut orchard and have been lovely. Tents, tables, and chairs are provided. If you like plenty of options and flexibility, you should look into this venue.
Even inclement weather is no longer a problem with the addition of a 3600 square foot enclosed barn. The barn can fit up to 200 comfortably for dining and celebrating. And, as seen below, the bridal suite where the bride can get ready is in a beautiful Victorian home on the property.
One unique feature of the Oakdale Ranch is that they only have one wedding per weekend so the place is yours for three days. If you want extra time to have a rehearsal, put up special decor, or take time to rest the next day before packing up, this is a nice option for you. The cost can vary but usually comes out to about $40 to $60 per guest for the three days.

The last time I saw little Lakelyn she was brand new to the world and already making her mark on the family dynamics. Now she is a sweet little tyke with sparkling eyes and an engaging grin. The best thing about being a photographer is being able to see all the little ones I photograph grow and thrive over the years. And I have to tell you, this little girl already knows how to work the tears and still look absolutely adorable doing it. I think Mom and Dad are in trouble when she gets older and shows how smart she is!
Capturing milestones in your baby's life is one of the most important things parents like to do. Who doesn't want to document the moment your baby enters the world and each incredible moment after! You fall in love immediately with this little being and want to remember each amazing moment. To help make this happen, we offer the Grow With Me Collection. Your first session will be a maternity session and you have your choice of a studio or on location session. Your second session could be a newborn session or a Fresh 48 session (example: http://photographer.kellylynnjordan.com/2016/03/fresh-48-session-woodland-california.html). You then have four other sessions to choose from, for a total of six portrait sessions. Maybe you want one at three months when they start showing their personality, six months when they master sitting up, or when they begin crawling, standing or even walking! And, last but not least, turning the BIG ONE YEAR complete with an adorable cake smash. All culminating in a beautiful Storybook coffee table book you can cherish for years to come.
Get ready to follow this amazing couple through this journey and their Grow With Me Collection! Meet Chelsea, Josh, and their little one-to-be! They are expecting a surprise package within the next month. That's right, they are going to be surprised about the sex of the baby. At KLJP our vote is for a BOY and we are rooting for the name "Falcore". These two are such a beautiful couple and this little boy or girl will be loved by the most amazing parents. So what's your gender guess?
Meet Val! This amazing woman knows the meaning of hard work and faith. She did something that some would think was crazy and quit a great job to go back to school. With the encouragement of her son, she applied and was accepted to St Mary's. She will be graduating in a few short weeks with her MBA. So often in my career I have the chance to meet extremely inspiring individuals, it certainly makes it all worthwhile! Val's proven intelligence, along with her sparkling eyes and dazzling smile, makes it a given that she will take the world by storm in the very near future.
What's more fun than a photo shoot with a beautiful dog owner and her adorable pooch?
A photo shoot with a beautiful dog owner and her TWO adorable pooches!
Nicole and her two rescues, Fergie and Willow, stopped by to update their family portraits. What a great team and three great models! Willow was a little more reluctant, but still rose to the occasion so as not to be outshone by Fergie's natural talent.
After a successful shoot, the two pooches graciously accepted some dog treats while Nicole accepted our thanks for allowing us to enjoy her kids for a short time. I hope they stop by again some time, they were all loads of fun!
